Redken Curvaceous Shampoo & Conditioner

Ever since I finished my bottle of L'oreal shampoo, I started using Redken Curvaceous. Bought a bottle of shampoo (300ml) & conditioner (250ml) from Beauty Language. Each bottle costs $17.90, considerably more expensive than L'oreal. Both shampoo & conditioner has a thick white consistency with a lovely fragrance. To my delight, the shampoo when used alone, does not leave hair feeling dry & coarse. But when used alongside the conditioner, the results are even more fantastic, your curls will feel all refreshed & bouncy again.

Also I would like to add (albeit randomly) that having curls also means that I get to switch around various brands each time one product finishes! It is very exciting to try out different products to see how each can help to nourish my curls :)

Excellent conditioner for permed hair

When I was in Batam, 1 of my favourite activities is to roam down the shampoo section of the supermarkets. On one instance, I found this Sunsilk nourishing conditioner for bouncy curls! It only cost me round $3-4 (can't remember exactly). True to its promise, after shampoo & conditioning, my curls look very refreshed after every wash.

Unfortunately, this product is not available in local Watsons & beauty store Venus. Boohoo... Guess I can only restock the next time I am in Batam!

Caring for curly wurly hair!

Right after perming, one is not supposed to wash his/her hair for at least 24hrs. This is to allow the chemicals to be better absorbed into the hair & hence a longer lasting perm! Immediately after I permed my hair, I was frantically looking around for a shampoo & conditioner specially catered for permed hair. As my hairdresser pointed out, the previous shampoo & conditioner I had used for smooth silky hair is too heavy for permed hair.

1 important step in caring for curled hair, other than the usual shampoo & condition has got to be the curling cream. When hair is semi-dry after shampoo, apply ample curl cream & twist the hair before allowing it to air dry. The curl cream not only sets the curls, it also gives hair the wet & bouncy effect.

Below are some products I use

1. L'Oreal Curl Contour shampoo
2. Beverly Hills Control taming conditioner
3. L'Oreal Curl Contour rinse-out hair mask
4. L'Oreal Total Repair shampoo
5. L'Oreal Total Repair conditioner
6. Merit Miracle Argan Curl Cream
7. Korean Curl Cream (bought from JasonSally)
